INTRODUCTION
Topicality of research
For a long time, information technology has enabled new ways of organizing work that
challenge old management paradigms. Organizational structures have begun to evolve
to provide a range of possibilities in response to the growing demand for greater work
flexibility. This new work mode has been quickly developing over the last several
decades, thanks to the advent of the necessary tools to support it. As a result, virtual
team members are increasingly engaged in remote work from their homes or satellite
offices to decrease travel time (Boselie, 2010). However, as remote work became more
popular, not only the benefits, but also the risks it poses to both the businesses and the
individuals involved became more apparent.
Research object – remotely working employees in aviation industry
The aim – to identify challenges and opportunities of remote work for BBN Cargo
Airlines employees.
The objectives:
1. To analyze the theoretical aspects of teleworking;
2. To analyze challenges and opportunities of remote work in aviation sector;
3. To analyze remote work peculiarity in the aviation sector;
4. To investigate what challenges and opportunities of remote work BBN Cargo Airlines
employees are facing;
5. To make recommendations based on the results obtained.
Methods applied in the work: Qualitative research (Structured interview)
