1. Introduction
The Covid-19 pandemic, a global crisis of unprecedented scale, left a mark on daily life across the
world. One of the most deeply and intensively transformed domains during this crisis was
education. With the urgent requirement to control the virus's spread, governments and educational
institutions worldwide were obliged to take the drastic step of closing physical classrooms and
urgently shifting towards remote learning. As a result, millions of students had to adapt to learning
from home. This alternative way and concept of learning from home immediately became the
dominant mode of instruction for millions of students. This seismic transition had monumental
consequences, reshaping not only how students learned but also influencing pedagogical methods,
modifying parental roles, and reshaping societal views of education. The Covid-19 pandemic
forced a rapid transition from traditional in-person education to remote and hybrid learning
models. It highlighted the weaknesses and differences in the existing education system. While the
sudden start of remote learning created numerous challenges, it also presented opportunities for
innovation, adaptability, and a revaluation of established educational models. During this
transformative process, the news media played a fundamental role. The media was a primary
source of information for the public. News outlets became instrumental in spreading vital
information, shaping public opinion, and framing the discourse surrounding remote learning
during the Covid-19 outbreak. News media contributed significantly to frame these issues and to
represent education in this new context. Therefore, it is vital, valuable, and necessary to examine
the news media articles on learning during the Covid-19 outbreak. The qualitative research ensures
the comprehensive results of the exploration of news media articles on education during the
Covid-19 outbreak. The analysis provides deep decoding of the narratives, themes, and discourses
presented within these articles, seeking to uncover valuable insights into the complex impacts of
the Covid-19 outbreak on the educational sphere. Considering the complexities of this
unprecedented educational shift, the investigation begins with carefully examining how news
media not only reflected the evolving narrative but also played a fundamental role in shaping it.
However, the news media's ability to influence public views, government policies, and educational
practices cannot be overstated. Therefore, the research seeks to thoroughly analyze the news
articles in order to understand the various dimensions of this influence - from the portrayal of
teachers and students to the portrayal of technological challenges, the impact on populations, and
the potential long-term consequences of this transformative period. The aim to provide a
comprehensive analysis of the discourse and narratives about remote learning reflects both the
challenges and the opportunities that the situation of Covid-19 presents. Furthermore, by exploring
the language, framing, and underlying ideologies within these articles, a nuanced perspective on
the societal response to this educational shift is provided. In essence, this research seeks to
contribute to the ongoing dialogue about the future of education and the role of media in shaping
that future. By understanding how news media portrayed and influenced the...
